Meet Ruby
Hi, my name is Ruby, and I am a cat lover who has owned cats all of my life. As a child we had lots of family pets, but my favorite was our calico cat named Cali, she was a therapy animal and her kitty friend was an orange tabby named Charlie. I really connected with Cali, she was my bestie through thick and thin, we had lots of bonding through her 19 years. I still bond with cats, they are absolutely the greatest therapy animal, with their empathetic nature I just adore getting to know them and working with them- hence being a cat sitter 🙂 They are my kind of people, they make me happy.
Starting Mystic Mouser
A few years ago, I noticed some stray cats hanging around my property and I instinctively wanted to help them. I did research and moved forward immediately with Best Friends’ help to humanely trap, fix and vaccinate them all for return. This effort snowballed and I have now built my skills not only in TNR (trap neuter return), but also with caring for fosters, bottle feeding kittens, and rehabbing injured friendly cats that couldn’t / shouldn’t be returned. I continue to expand my cat care knowledge by working with local rescues, and enjoy learning skills for saving special needs cats lives. I take it seriously when animals have problems and I’ve become accustomed to noticing if the cat is trying to show us something might be wrong. I enjoy studying their behaviors, researching cat experts advice, and attending cat shows. I have built 3 catios for my cattin’ around work so that cats can enjoy outdoor space safely.
Caring for your Cat
My intuitive nature with our feline friends continues to motivate me to take care of cats with a high level of care. I am devoted to learning more and more, and I plan to continue to do that through experience, but also through accredited educational opportunities.
